Golfers defeat Lincoln

The junior varsity girls' golf team defeated Lincoln handedly Aug. 19 at Pine View Golf Course with a 198 to the Railsplitters' 227.

The match medalist of the day was Saline's Erika Shima, who paced the team with a very strong 42.
The rest of her teammates followed, with everyone scoring below 60.
Sabine Bickford shot a 51, Sarah Ignasiak a 52 and Heather Vogt rounded out the team score with a 53.
The team also faired well at the Perry Invitational at Hunter's Ridge Golf Course in Howell Aug. 18. The JV squad posted a 283, landing the team in sixth place overall.
